Years of exposure and wear and tear give the wood it’s natural variance, from browns to grays and lights to darks. Roughback pine is typically sold unfinished and is a great value.
CLADDING CONSIDERATIONS
CHARACTER/GRADEÂ Fillable characteristics include stable or small open knots, nail and bolt holes, insect marks and pin holes, and non-structural surface checks. Natural variations in grain and color, wear patterns, textures, and, in some instances, saw marks are expected. Pronounced wear patterns, scarring, and nail holes, some slight overwood can be expected.
